SCHOOL HISTORY
PNHS Marcelo Green, is the youngest in existence among all public schools in Parañaque City to date. Dr. Edwin Doria was its pioneering school head in 2015-2016 with 231 high school freshmen occupying four (4) borrowed classrooms in Marcelo Green Elementary School (MGES). Then presided over the second half of the school year to Mrs. Maritess Coballes as the School Head. In June 16, 2016, the school’s new building was inaugurated with no less than the Honorable Mayor Edwiin L. Olivarez in attendance. Consequently, the announcement was made by Parañaque SDO Superintendent of its new Officer-in-Charge Mr. Nestor T. Torrecampo who assumed the office in June 20, 2016. The new 4-storey (with 12 usable classrooms) school building was constructed through the initiatives of Legislative District II Congressman Gus Tambunting. Marcelo Green Barangay Captain Christopher V. Aguilar and his Council purchased the lot being occupied both by MGHS and MGES.
At present, the school is headed by the new principal Mrs. Susana Hembra-Aguilar. The Junior High School occupies the 4-storey building. There are 11 instructional classrooms: one (1) ICT room, principal’s office, 2 classrooms were made as canteen, clinic, guidance office, LRMDS and a faculty room, also 2 occupied rooms located at the 4th floor borrowed from the MGES. The school caters high school-aged children of Barangay Marcelo Green, San Antonio and other nearby barangays. The school uses the K – 12 Curriculum for Grades 7 – 10 (Junior High School) which started in the year 2015-2016.
The school stands strong with 41 nationally funded permanent teachers which consist of two Master Teacher 1, two Teacher III, and 37 Teacher I who are teaching the Junior High School. Some of the teachers are currently enrolled in post-graduate courses.
Furthermore, the teachers have attended seminars/trainings/workshops in different areas to continually upgrade themselves personally and professionally to equip them with the knowledge and skills.
The school’s enrollment as of last March 2019 was 1,240 and it is currently 1,278 for school year 2019-2020. The school’s enrollment is tremendously increasing from 713 in 2016- 2017 to 1,023 in 2017-2018. The classroom – learner ratio is 1:55. The ratio of learners’ materials in Grades 7 is 1:36, 8 is 2:06, in Grade 9 is 1:15, in Grade 10 is 1:21.
There are four and five functional toilets for male and female respectively with a ratio of 162.75:1 and 117.8:1 for two shifts of classes.

Paranaque National High School – Marcelo Green promotes and adheres to the minimum standards set by the IATF to promote the safety of the employees, students and stakeholders of the institution. In this regard, the school implements these guidelines and securities for the promotion of health safety of all the individuals.
